- The fur
of these rabbits is about 1.27 cm (half an inch) long, without any
projecting guard hairs. It should have a fine, silky texture, very dense,
smooth and level, firm and plush-like with a lustrous sheen. They are
well-proportioned, with a graceful carriage, a bold broad head with erect
ears, a dewlap (not excessively large) and well-rounded quarters on strong
hind legs.

rabbits are generally about 3 kg (6.6 lb), which is a good size for a pet
rabbit; they can sometimes be sensitive.
Rex rabbits are "spirited but good
natured" and can be good pets.
